Born and raised in Elizabethton, Tennessee, Rick graduated from East Tennessee State University. After college, Rick had the opportunity to live in several states, including Nebraska, Colorado, South Carolina, and Maryland — and even lived in Montevideo, Uruguay for a few years! As such, Rick has plenty of experience moving, buying, and selling from the customer’s perspective, which improves his ability to help his clients. Rick moved back to East Tennessee in 2011, and began his real estate career in 2015. After working at Century 21 Legacy in Johnson City for 8 years, Rick decided to open his own firm — Sunrise Real Estate — in 2023.
Rick strives to get to know every client and form a lasting connection. He often works with the same clients multiple times over the years, as clients’ housing needs change. He also welcomes referrals from his clients, and is always excited to help a friend of a friend find their dream home or sell their existing property!
